According to the University Impact Rankings, Masaryk University is the best Czech university in the categories of Quality Education and Partnerships for the Goals. Overall, in the category of Quality Education MU was ranked 101–200 globally.
In this category, universities’ commitment to inclusive and quality education, support for life-long learning, educational activities, and regional activities are evaluated.
“This is a great success for Masaryk University and confirmation that quality teaching is one of our main priorities. Of course, we will continue to focus on this area and work on further developing and improving remote and hybrid learning,” said MU rector, Martin Bareš.
The sustainable development rankings cover several other areas. Universities choose their own strategies for fulling the goals set out by the UN. Seven Czech universities were included in the latest, third, international rankings. In the overall ranking, MU placed 401–600, alongside Charles University, Palacký University Olomouc, and the Czech University of Life Sciences. Overall, 1,115 global universities were ranked.
Masaryk University was included in the assessment of four sustainable development goals out of the 17 goals defined by the UN. Besides education quality, MU also had success in the categories of Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions and Good Health and Well-being. In both, MU was ranked 201–300.
In the compulsory category of Partnerships for the Goals, which focuses on international collaboration on sustainable development, MU ranked 401–600, the highest-ranking Czech university in this category.
