Masaryk University has 27 new associate professors

A total of 27 new associate professors from six MU faculties who successfully habilitated at Masaryk University received their appointment decrees from Rector Martin Bareš at a ceremony held on Thursday 9 June in the refectory of the Mendel Museum. 

Ceremony was in the refectory of the Mendel Museum.

The appointment decrees were handed over to the new associate professors by MU Rector Martin Bareš.

Kristián Brat
Habilitated in the field of Internal Medicine. In his work he focuses mainly on pleural diseases, invasive methods in pneumology and pneumological intensive care.

Petr Jabandžiev

Petr Jabandžiev
Habilitated in the field of Paediatrics. In his work, he specialises in paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, especially inflammatory bowel diseases.

Andrej Klepanec

Andrej Klepanec
Habilitated in the field of Radiology. He focuses on vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology.

Radek Kroupa

Radek Kroupa
Habilitated in the field of Internal Medicine. In his work, he specialises in oesophageal and gastric diseases.

Veronika Matušková

Habilitated in the field of Ophthalmology. In her work she focuses on vitreoretinal problems in ophthalmology and her habilitation thesis presents her achievements in therapy and prevention.

Martin Pail

Habilitated in the field of Neurology. His work has focused on the field of epileptology. In his habilitation thesis, he dealt with physiological and pathological high-frequency oscillations.

Habilitated in the field of Internal Medicine. He pursues research in the field of interventional treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

Habilitated in the fields of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Medicine and Algology. He focuses on clinical research in anaesthesia and intensive care.

Habilitated in the field of Neurology. In his work he focuses on modern imaging methods of cerebral circulation, perfusion and the use of artificial intelligence in the analysis of computerised tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data of the brain.
