Until the 5th of June, students and fresh graduates of all MU faculties can submit their nomination for the Rector's Award for Outstanding Teachers. In the second year of this competition, students may nominate one to three teachers working for MU (external employees are excluded) and gain prizes for themselves.
“We want to symbolically reconcile science and teaching. After all, only outstanding educators can foster great experts and first-rate scientists," said Ladislav Rabušic, the vice-rector for academic affairs, last year during the first run of the competition to explain why the university started organizing it.
The idea has caught: almost 9.5 thousand of MU Information System users voted in the initial year. The winners also received a great response on the Facebook pages of the university as well as the faculties. The reactions suggest that the winners well deserved to get this award.
This year, the voting is taking place in the Information System again. However, it is a good idea to read the competition rules first. Some rewards are awaiting for the voting students as well. Three participants from each faculty will gain prizes.
Results will be announced in November at the Conference on Education Quality at MU.
