“I think we will all enjoy the evening and it will be a pleasant opportunity to talk about informal matters,” said Martin Repko, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, at the beginning of the event, which is always held on campus at the beginning of the academic year. He greeted the attendees together with the Rector of Masaryk University Martin Bareš and other deans – David Vetchý (PHARM), Tomáš Kašparovský (SCI) and Jan Cack (SPORT).
In addition to the bountiful refreshments, a game was prepared for the students as they walked around the campus answering questions. If they answered correctly, they could solve a mystery and win a prize. Students from the Faculty of Sports Studies provided music and small sports activities. Participants could play table tennis or petanque. Student societies were also involved and prepared an interactive programme.
“I am very grateful to meet my friends from the Faculty of Medicine, Science and Pharmacy, as well as students from other faculties of Masaryk University. I feel very honoured that our faculty can work in such an inspiring environment,” said Jan Cacek. At the end of the event, he and the other deans answered questions submitted anonymously by students. These ranged from informal questions about their favourite beer or the ride on the new tram line to Bohunice, to questions about how the faculties work and how they use space on the university campus.
